A compact, evergreen shrub with dark-green leaves composed of 3 small, obovate leaflets, measuring from 4 to 6 cm in length. It produces white flowers up to 3 cm wide that develop at the end of spring and once again in summer. The leaves as well as the flowers are very fragrant.
