Quick growing palm tree with slim trunk ringed by the leaves. The leaves are 2 to 4 meters long, curved and feathered with many small leaves, light green coloured or purple shaded on the upper side and from silver to grey coloured on the lower side. During the summer it produces cream to yellow flowers, followed by elliptic to roundish shaped red rose fruits.
