‘Strawberry tree’. An evergreen tree or shrub with deep-green foliage. Its bark is rough and reddish-brown. It produces inward-turning, 5-to-10 cm panicles of creamy-white flowers, sometimes shading off into pink. Its edible, roundish, red fruit measuring about 2 cm in diameter ripen in the autumn of the following year.
