Deciduous, upright shrub or small tree with bronzed-coloured leaves up to 8 cm in length, which turn dark-green then orange and red in autumn. It produces white flowers with oblong, lanceolate petals in the period from April to May and can grow in full sunlight or shady areas. An exceptionally hardy variety. It holds up well in windy places and urban climates.
